EU launches Digital Skills and Jobs Platform as hub for digital skills actions

The European Commission is launching a new ‘Digital Skills and Jobs Platform’ to serve as a central home for the EU’s digital skills initiatives. The new platform, which is one part of the EU’s renewed focus on a ‘digital decade’ of actions to meet the challenges of digital transformation, will be supported by the European Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and various national coalitions around Europe. It was launched during a livestreamed online event on Thursday, 20 May.

ICDL Europe is a supporter of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition, making and achieving several ambitious pledges to raise digital skills. Additionally, we actively engage with the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition Belgium, while operators of the ICDL programme across Europe are also active in their own national coalitions.
